GOLF AND NATURE AWARD 2023

CLUB HOLE IN ONE will present a GOLF AND NATURE 2023 prize, selecting the player who achieves one of the best hole in one at a national level achieved on any official course and tournament and registered on the website www.clubholeinone.eu during the year 2023.

The prize will be a gift voucher for each course to enjoy the game, the three emblematic courses for their design (Seve Ballesteros) and their magnificent location surrounded by nature. Meaztegi golf (BIZKAIA), Izki Golf (ALAVA) and Santa Marina Golf (CANTABRIA).

The prize-bonus will be two green fees for each course and a one-night stay with breakfast included for two people in an apartment/rural hotel near the course. Prize of 6 green fees for three courses 3 nights' stay in three different hotels/apartments.

MEZTEGI GOLF CLUB

It is located in a natural landscape in the area of La Arboleda in Bizkaia.

The golf course is surrounded by tracks, trails and natural greenways, and with unbeatable views of the Cantabrian Sea.

The green routes allow you to learn about the history and transformation of a mining area from past centuries to a current green leisure and sports area.

Visiting the area of Las Encartaciones, the westernmost region of Bizkaia, bordering Cantabria and Burgos, offers impressive panoramic views, as well as a rich cultural and gastronomic heritage, and all in the middle of nature. The region constitutes the perfect union between tradition and nature.

Close to Bilbao and the Gugenheim museum for cultural, gastronomic visits, etc.

IZKI GOLF

The golf course is located in a privileged place of great natural beauty, the Alavesa Mountain, next to the Izki Natural Park.

A network of 15 trails of varying difficulty and length allows the walker to discover the beautiful landscapes of Izki, observe its flora and fauna, and appreciate the traditions and culture of the human beings who inhabited and inhabit this territory. These paths take the visitor to different points of interest, towns, valleys, forests, etc.

An extensive cultural heritage transmits the history of these valleys and mountains: caves, hermitages, fortified towns, limestone pits, castles, archaeological remains... and as a culmination the medieval town of Corres, the only inhabited center inside the Park. Gastronomy, crafts, festivals, pilgrimages and rural houses in nearby towns increase the interest of this space.

SANTA MARINA GOLF

In one of the most beautiful enclaves of the Cantabrian coast is Santa Marina Golf, limited by the Natural Park of Oyambre, San Vicente de la Barquera and Comillas, in addition to having spectacular panoramic views of the Picos de Europa.
